Sedated we were able to see right into his mouth he had a horrifying hole in the pallet meaning that any food or fluids he ingested went up & into his sinuses. He had pus & blood from the hole, his teeth were rotten, he clearly had anaemia, he would never have healed in this condition so sadly we did not wake him up. This type of injury is usually caused by a sharp object then infection sets in especially those whose immune system is compromised like his must have been. This poor boy has been a bit under the weather recently so has come in for some TLC. He's not impressed but is looking better after some antibiotics, we are going to have him tested to make sure he's not spreading unwanted diseases around and then if ok will return him to Almerida
