Elpida has been rehomed in the UK & is blissfully happy! Whilst on my morning walk about a week ago, I came across an approx. 3 week old little black cat (white nose/paws and underbelly) sitting in the middle of the road crying. It looks like her mother abandoned her there. Her eyes with infected and she had a respiratory condition. I took her to the vets thinking he would put her down, but instead he gave me a script for eye drops and liquid antibiotics. I have been meticulously giving her warm salt water eye baths and drops and her ABs, along with kitten milk formula (with a syringe), and now a bit of either boiled fish, fresh chicken and kitten food - she now has a good healthy appetite and her eyes have improved significantly and her cold/wheeze has pretty much cleared up. I have named her Elpida (Hope) and in this respect, I do hope she has a long, loving and healthy life ahead of her. Unfortunately, I cannot keep her, as I work overseas and will be leaving very shortly, otherwise, I'd keep her in a heartbeat, as I have already fallen in love with her. She follows me about, has a great little inquisitive personality and loves warm baths and lots of cuddles. I am really hoping that you may know of someone who can take Elpida by the 3rd June, as a few days after this, I will be leaving to work she really is a little sweetheart and I have no doubt that whoever takes her under their wing, they will fall in love with her and love and nurturing is what she really needs. Can you please, please, please help? Follow up: Elpida is a very lucky girl, her foster mother and a UK adopter have donated the funds that will enable her to travel to her new home after she has been treated for all her infections and is fit to travel at 16 weeks.
