Lucy over a few weeks stopped eating & drinking, she had end stage liver/kidney disease. All day she kept our Greek neighbour company sunbathing in his vegetable patch whilst he talked to her & weeded around her! In the end we had to climb over the fence to pick her up & bring her home each evening she quietly & painlessly went to sleep. Such a short time with us, such a huge hole she has left, we miss her dearly. 23/04/13 Lucy remains here with us; we paid for her dental surgery this week as after having her eye removed she was still in severe pain with lots of difficulty eating. On veterinary examination she had broken infected teeth caused by being kicked or struck with a heavy object left side of her face, poor brave girl. Lucy is now lying by the fire & recovering well. Does anyone recognize Lucy? she has a very distinctive tash & beard, we think she may have strayed and would love to identify her true owners.
